Born in 1981 and raised in Western Canada (Edmonton AB), I grew up in middle class suburbia where life was quiet and pleasant. With that type of lifestyle comes certain presedences and standards that one must adhere to such as being a good boy and doing well at school and sports. I followed this path as a self-illusionist buying into the idea that this was somehow the norm, mostly because there was nothing to do and there was enough stuff in the world to keep me occupied and entertained so that I didn't ask any questions.
That self-illusion has led me to where I am today, in Calgary, Canada spending most of my days working as an Oil and Gas Engineer putzing around, getting stuck in monotonous daily routines.
My perspective in the way I percieve myself and the world was drastically changed in early 2011 when I stumbled across Youtube videos produced by Desteni as I was looking for answers relating to a "Kundalini" experience that happened to me. After a bit of time perusing some of the material, I enrolled in the Desteni I Process and as hard and arduous that it has seemed to have been on certain occasions, I have never regretted the decision.
The allowed and accepted self-abuse within me is quite extensive, but by applying the practical self-support tools that Desteni and the Desteni I Process has to offer, it turns out to be a very enjoyable and interesting process.
Desteni does not provide answers, but rather creates and offers the dialogue and practical support platforms to assist oneself in finding answers and correcting one's self living experience for self-realization and self-perfection.
That's where I'm at anyway. Just staying here in the moment. Breathe=>Self-honesty=>Self-Forgiveness=>Self-Corrective Application=>Breath. Every day, every moment, until a world is created that uphold the principles of oneness and equality in what is best for all.
